Rose Mary Rock Salt Bagels

I grew up eating Montréal-style bagels, so I was happy to discover this place makes them really well! Their poppy seed bagel with cream cheese takes me right back. I'll definitely be coming back here when I want bagels!

Amazingly fresh bagels in a warm cozy atmosphere with a Gastown feel. Friendly and efficient staff. The Strathcona bagel (pictured here) was perfect comfort food on a cold day. A bit over priced. Be sure to try their signature bagel... Rosemary Rocksalt.

My take home / homemade sandwich with bagels and Montreal smoked meat ! YUMMMMM!

So I just went in to buy a dozen bagels and we buy often and not only did the woman at the cash just leave while there was a line of customers waiting to be served, so she could go outside to have a smoke - the other woman working didn’t seem to care to serve us either. I asked her what was going on after waiting patiently for 10 minutes and she said “I don’t know” and I walked out. Not only will I not go back to this location but I have never written a bad review on social media before. This was a customer service FAIL that resulted in not only a lost sale but the loss of a good customer as well.

This is a little piece of heaven. The absolute best everything bagel I have ever had. Cannot recommend them enough.

I decided to come here from seeing that they had a special rainbow bagel for pride. I got the rainbow bagel with the strawberry cream cheese without checking the price. It cost me $6.05! For a bagel! I understand the cream cheese is made fresh like the bagels are, but wow. My sister just got a plain rainbow bagel with nothing in it, and it was right about $2. Does that mean a few swipes of cream cheese is $4? I was stunned. They did offer a small discount if you brought your previously purchased cream cheese container back, but still. I read that this place pays a living wage and donates excess bagels, so I understand why it’s a bit overpriced. I still enjoyed my bagel very much, and the cream cheese was delicious. It’s just a bit shocking once you’ve done the math. I don’t think I’d buy a bagel with cream cheese from here again, but perhaps with butter or just plain to save a few bucks.

I'm from Montreal and know my bagels. This truly is the next best thing to a Mtl bagel and may be even better. The combination of rosemary and rock salt is absolutely deadly and these come strait out of the oven. Easily the best bagel shop in Vancouver with real smoked meat as well. Sinfully delicious!

great taste, but i didn’t think the price was worth it - $12 for a bagel sandwich. trying it once is enough i guess. I would rather suggest you try just the bagels with cream cheese. if you love the bagels, buy them and make sandies at home. the taste was good but eating experience wasn’t. No music, very solemn atmosphere, everyone chowing down their food and emptying the tables for the next guest like a fast food joint
